Pronunciation[edit]

Many tech terms / acronyms have conventional pronunciations. I generally hear bteq spoken as: "bee tek" (tek, w/ short "e"), but was hoping some teradata insiders might contribute to this. (I've also heard, "bee teek" (long 'e'), but I don't think that's common; and have also heard the letters spelled out, 'bee tee eee que', but that's a mouthful.) - Michael (talk|contrib) 04:36, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Found an answer: according to the Interactive Teradata(R) Query User Guide, the Batch TEradata Query (BTEQ) facility is pronounced "bee-teek". The Interactive TEradata Query (ITEQ) facility is pronounced "eye-teek". Michael (talk|contrib) 01:20, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I am not reading it the same way. It is giving basic information about a tool. I can write a "critique" part, if you want it. At least it seems that the parser is not something to write home about. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.100.130.7 (talk) 11:33, 9 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
