Clive John - Keyboardist???[edit]

The article states "...since the departure of keyboardist Clive John." He wasn't the keyboardist. He was, primarily, a rhythm guitarist, though I did see him swop roles with Will Youatt by exchanging his guitar for Will's bass ON-STAGE at a gig at The Victoria Hall, Hanley in mid 1973. They already had a keyboard player (Phil Ryan) at the time.

John was the principal keyboardist on the first four albums, although Leonard played occasional keyboards and John played occasional guitar. When John left, he formed Iowerth Pritchard and the Neutrons with Phil Ryan and Will Youatt. When John returned to Man, bringing Ryan and Youatt with him, Ryan was the permanent keyboard player and John played guitar on Be Good to Yourself at Least Once a Day and Christmas at the Patti. So, although John had originally been the keyboardist, he wasn't prior to his second departure - I have therefore removed "keyboardist" as the sentence makes sense without it - Arjayay (talk) 09:11, 2 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

OK, fair enough. I have never paid much attention to the various Man line-ups, as there have been so many!!! My comments were based solely on my personal observations of the band on-stage and my memories of the music press ("Sounds" & NME) of the time.
