Career section

In my opinion the career section for a multitainer should signify their works in different areas, and Baekhyun's volume of individual activities do not warrant a chronological segmentation (just yet). FoxSerfaty (talk) 03:45, 29 June 2016 (UTC)

Just a suggestion, but I think you should use a more recent, higher quality picture, like this one: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/e8/6b/38/e86b38af5acdefda834597ec82ac678c.jpg Exo1224 (talk) 06:56, 27 November 2017 (UTC)

Not done for now: First read image use policy and understand it's strict legal considerations. After that you can upload it here first before onto the page –Ammarpad (talk) 07:44, 27 November 2017 (UTC)

Main picture

Please change Baekhyun's picture on Wikipedia. This picture is too blurry Yeoltrbl (talk) 13:10, 24 February 2018 (UTC)

If you have a photo that meets the requirements you can do it. SuZumiya (talk) 04:08, 26 February 2018 (UTC)

picture

the main picture should be changed, it's old enough & should be replaced by good quality picture like vogue magazine update of price by bbh. Ss23af (talk) 20:21, 6 May 2018 (UTC)

You should have a picture of baekhyun from either an Exo comeback or his solo Daliainthehhx (talk) 15:31, 14 September 2020 (UTC)

Variety Shows

you could add the variety shows that he has made a guest appearence on such as hello councelor (with chanyeol and chen), the return of superman (with chanyeol) and the most recent happy together (with sehun). Park Yeo Jin (talk) 07:07, 11 November 2018 (UTC)

Main Picture Change Request

Is it possible to change the main picture? I did so recently and changed it to match the corresponding pages in French, Korean, and Tagalog languages as I believed it was a more appropriate photo. That was undone. What are the options here? I really dislike this photo. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fnamari (talkcontribs) 18:45, 29 January 2019 (UTC)

Your personal dislike of a photo isn’t really a valid reason for it to be changed, the image is of good quality and shows his face clearly. To my knowledge, it’s the most recent and best quality image of him available, too. Alexanderlee (talk) 19:03, 29 January 2019 (UTC)

I'm sorry how come Official Youtube/Twitter account isn't a reliable source? I gave you the link of the Official YouTube Channel of the award show (Mnet Asian Music awards) That they posted the nominees for Artist of the year award and their other awards through their OFFICIAL YouTube Channel and Twitter Account! Wikipedia added the right the nominations for the same award show for his bandmate (Chen) and his Original Group (EXO) but what is the problem here? Why we need to give sources?? Please Check the sources given 1st before jumping to conclusions or at least let a person who actually follows him and his career edit this page instead!! His fans are already angry at the flaws that keep happening in his page.

Again I'll leave the sources shared by 21st Mnet Asian Music Awards SNS accounts THEMSELVES [1]

[2] Shen1204 (talk) 23:09, 17 December 2019 (UTC)

Not done. Twitter posts are generally not reliable for something like this, and neither source appears to list the nominees anyway. –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 01:17, 18 December 2019 (UTC)

Please add to the awards and nominations section baekhyun's nomination for 1- Artist Of The Year at 21st Mnet Asian Music Awards

2- Male Soloist at 2020 Korea First Brand Awards

Both are nominations! Please let someone who actually knows this artist and follows him be able to edit his page! People already give you official sources yet you ignore it and it's all suspicious how we have to keep asking for edits compared to others so I won't give sources! You can search for the truth of those 2 nominations yourself because I know you will already act ignorant. Please either consider letting someone with knowledge handle Baekhyun's page or actually taking what people say in consideration and searching for it's validation...... This page already is missing so many things and this is upsetting that artist's fans. Alice20204 (talk) 01:40, 21 December 2019 (UTC)

Semi-protected edit request on 24 December 2019

Baekhyun's City Lights album is nominated for Best Album Award in The 34th Golden Disc Awards please add it along with his other previous nominations/awards that are missing.

His fans are really angry about how this page is always missing and you keep dropping things (intentionally) plus how we always have to ask for changes which shouldn't happen to begin with

Please notice that Baekhyun is a solo artist now! So if you can't be professional and keep up with him also give his page the time it deserves then please let someone worthy of managing this page do it instead!

Byun Baek-hyunBaekhyun – Per precedence as Beyoncé (discussion) Taeyeon (discussion), Jungkook and Jimin (discussion) and per WP:COMMONNAME, the title of an article should reflect the usage of English-language reliable sources. First and foremost, he releases music as Baekyun, not Byun Baek-hyun [1]. There is also ample evidence that the singer is referred to mononymously far more often than by his full name, as seen in English-language sources: Korea JoongAng Daily [2], The Korea Times [3], Yonhap News [4], Rolling Stone [5], Billboard [6], South China Morning Post [7], Jakarta Post [8], etc. ƏXPLICIT 00:56, 30 May 2020 (UTC)

  • Oppose. You can do this with any Korean singer. It's not that he's so famous that he needs only one name. In Korean, he's "EXO 백현" (EXO Baek-hyun). Korea-Herald tries a direct translation: "Baekhyun of EXO." But that looks unprofessional. The proposed form is like titling an article on Donald Trump as "Trump". We have a standard format. See WP:MONONYM. Allan Rice (talk) 02:33, 30 May 2020 (UTC)
You can do this with any Korean singer.
No, you can't. Most articles about Korea singers use their full name because that's what English-language sources use.
It's not that he's so famous that he needs only one name.
What does fame have to do with... anything?
In Korean, he's "EXO 백현" (EXO Baek-hyun).
That's nice, but this is not the Korean Wikipedia. WP:COMMONNAME is clear: Wikipedia does not necessarily use the subject's "official" name as an article title; it generally prefers the name that is most commonly used (as determined by its prevalence in a significant majority of independent, reliable English-language sources)... You have not provided evidence proving otherwise.
The proposed form is like titling an article on Donald Trump as "Trump".
False equivalency. Donald Trump is always introduced as Donald Trump in the first mention of a news source. That is not the case for Baekhyun, as demonstrated by the sources.
See WP:MONONYM.
Yes, let's look together: Only if the single name is used as a true artist's name (stage name, pseudonym, etc.) can the recommendations of Nicknames, pen names, stage names, cognomens below be followed. The section in question reads: The name used most often to refer to a person in reliable sources is generally the one that should be used as the article title... What a coincidence, this goes back and supports WP:COMMONNAME. ƏXPLICIT 03:45, 30 May 2020 (UTC)
  • Support it's a clear case to me Alex (talk) 09:22, 30 May 2020 (UTC)
  • Support Baekhyun is not only the most relevant, but the only relevant artist with this specific moniker. If there existed another Baekhyun with their own English Wikipedia page it would be different, but that's not the case. There's no reason this page name shouldn't be moved. Mal Arken (talk) 04:13, 31 May 2020 (UTC)
  • Oppose - My argument hasn't changed even if consensus in following articles have changed (on Jungkook, Taeyeon, etc). WP:MONONYM is a stable title when their artist's first name is their stage and a natural disambiguation - this is the Oprah effect. Encyclopedia policy may not match common name - Im Yoon-ah, Kim Hee-chul, Yoon Bo-ra and others are still consistent with this policy, even though I'm sure someone will overturn them in due time.Evaders99 (talk) 04:31, 31 May 2020 (UTC)
  • Support Clear case. The only overwhelmingly relevant artist under the name Baekhyun. Most people/press refer to him as Baekhyun which is the professional name and the last name Byun is not widely mentioned outside the fandom. --PeaceNT (talk) 04:44, 31 May 2020 (UTC)
  • Support for change to "Baekhyun" as there is no other current Baek-hyun singer (actor or otherwise), at least none I know of, and certainly none as well-known and popular. Someone above argued that you could do it for any Korean singer.....no, you can't and I think every name warrants discussion. Although we may reference Jonghyun (Kim Jong-hyun (singer)) most often, there are more Jonghyuns, in particular Lee Jong-hyun; and no one has asked to change either name to simply "Jonghyun". If, and when, there is another notable and as famous Baekhyun, we can deal with it then. The process seems to be working fine, even for K-pop names, where the industry tends to monitor itself for duplicity.--Bonnielou2013 (talk) 00:10, 9 June 2020 (UTC)

This is a request to add "fashion designer and so creative director of prive by" to the introductory sentence. It may not be something that needs highlighting in the intro since celebrities often have several side businesses they're only connected to by name.
