Bainbridge Population Change

From Shoshin5. I appreciate your desire for documentation. Here is a link to the Office of Financial management page for WA state in the 1990 census. If you scroll down to winslow in communities, you will see that the 1990 census figure of 3081 is for Winslow. Will that satisfy you? https://ofm.wa.gov/washington-data-research/population-demographics/decennial-census/1990-census-demographic-profiles Shoshin5 (talk) 16:05, 19 November 2017 (UTC)

Shoshin5, I moved this conversation from my talk page as this is not a personal desire but an important point to be discuss with other editors about your edit. Identifying reliable sources is fundamental as is "No original research". (Links for guidelines like this are included in the Welcome Message on your talk page.) Unfortunately, the article you are trying to improve is already poorly sourced; the annexation of the entire island by Winslow and name change is not described in a reference. More sources, such as contemporaneous news articles, are needed to document and describe the population change. The raw population figures provide inference but provide insufficient documentation. The information also needs to find a more appropriate place such as at the beginning of the Demographic section. It also needs to be written in more of an encyclopedic style rather than conversational. Thanks for your interest in improving the article. Sometimes it can be a challenge.
