Computer Generated picture

Is it just me or does the lead picture look computer generated... isn't there any real photographs of it?

Contradiction on estate area

I may be stupid but the (very vague) number for the total estate area seems to bear little relation to the then very precise figures given for its individual parts. - Sitush (talk) 01:56, 11 February 2011 (UTC)

I think you answered your own question by cutting out the more detailed figures, but I have amended the 26,000 figure to 20,000 based on the Balmoral Estate web site. Also, I think I have resolved the other contradiction by making it clear that Blamoral was the subject of each film, though they were indeed shot elsewhere. Great. As you can see from the history, it only became certain that things were copyvio'd as I progressed through what was intended to be a general read-through (based on the article being listed in the maintenance pages for a couple of points). Climate section

Nearest town

It is unclear who it was purchased to

Protected?

The article states that Balmoral Castle is "protected" as a Class A listed building. Protected? From whom? Was somebody (e.g. The Queen) threatening to tear it down or damage it? Clarification here would be helpful.John Paul Parks (talk) 04:37, 16 February 2012 (UTC)

Balmoral related to Baile Mhoireil (?)

Hello, I'm wondering if the name of Balmoral Castle is etymologically related to Ireland's Balmoral (District Electoral Area), which is apparently from (Irish) Baile Mhoireil. I don't know if there would be a Scottish Gaelic equivalent or how it would relate to Bouchmorale. Maybe it's coincidental. Pythagimedes (talk) 19:12, 21 June 2021 (UTC)
