Wrong Victory[edit]

"In 1808 Rear-Admiral Sir James Saumarez was given command of the British Baltic fleet with his flag in HMS Victory." Not the one linked here, though. That one was lost in 1744. --Ehitaja (talk) 19:57, 22 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Saumarez's own article links to HMS Victory which is possible but also a bit doubtful because that articles mentions no action at all between 1807 and 1810. "In November 1807 she was relegated to second-rate, with the removal of two 32-pounder cannons and replacement of her middle deck 24-pounders with 18-pounders obtained from other laid-up ships." --Ehitaja (talk) 20:00, 22 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Name change[edit]

@Amitchell125: Hi, what's your reasoning behind this name change? Would the fleet not have only been English until 1707, at which point it would have been British? Seems a little confusing. Pickersgill-Cunliffe (talk) 14:33, 31 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

My bad, I'll revert it. Thanks, Amitchell125 (talk) 16:34, 31 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
