Development

[edit]

Hi User:Ɱ, i only just looked at edit history of this list-article, and I see it has all been developed by you, and only very recently. Thank you so much for tackling this! It is pretty random that I found my way to topic of National Historic Landmark District Mount Vernon Place Historic District and saw that it was very undeveloped, relative to other NHLDs. Related to that, mainly, I started to come to this list-article.

Hey, what are your goals here? I would basically be happy to try to help. About Mount Vernon, it seems to me that it would be useful to know which properties in the NHLD are BCLs, and to mention them in the Mount Vernon article. And to determine those, it seems to me that adding coordinates to this list-article would be a straightforward way, so I started that. I also wonder about adding a column for photos. And it seems to me that creating articles for some more individual BCLs would help. E.g. creating an article for W.E.B. Du Bois House (currently a redlink), would help in linking to/from W.E.B. Du Bois Boyhood Homesite (a National Historic Landmark in Massachusetts) and the W. E. B. Du Bois biography article (where "Baltimore" is mentioned once, but not this house), etc. I'd be interested to hear what you think about priorities?

Actually Baltimore's list of these landmarks includes maps on page 96 and 97, for "Central Baltimore North" and "Central Baltimore South" i think, which show the 4 or 5 BCLs that are in the Mount Vernon Place Historic District. Done adding coords for those. Less pressure to add coordinates for all the BCLs to this article's list. --Doncram (talk) 16:39, 4 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
