Bandundu Province → Bandundu – "Bandundu" is overwhelmingly associated with the province. Mightymights (talk) 10:31, 29 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose. I note that the article Bandundu, referring to the city, was moved to Bandundu, Democratic Republic of the Congo to make way for this move and Bandundu was redirected to Bandundu Province. Cleaning up, it turned out that about half the links to Bandundu referred to the city, half to the province. If template transclusion links are excluded, the province and city articles have about the same number of inbound links. I made Bandundu into a disambiguation page. It should stay that way. Oppose per WP:PRIMARYTOPIC (see User:Aymatth2's note above). In addition, the title "Bandundu, Democratic Republic of the Congo" is inappropriate for the city because it's still ambiguous as to whether it refers to the city or the province. Consider deleting the dab page (it's not needed per WP:TWODABS), returning the city to its original location at "Bandundu" and using a dab hatnote to direct users to the province. If that's too controversial, at least move the city to "Bandundu (city)". — AjaxSmack 18:11, 29 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I do not think there is clearly a primary topic. Based on links from other articles, city and province seem to be about equal, so I prefer to leave the dab page. Proposed merge with Mateko[edit]
