What about banknotes

[edit]

I believe that banknote clearing was another purpose.Phmoreno (talk) 03:18, 28 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Merge proposal

[edit]

There are three articles dealing with clearing houses and what they do that should be all together. The Banker's clearing house is history, Cheque clearing addresses what the clearing houses do, and Clearing house (finance) - though it is currently muddled with a description of CCPs - should be the home for both. Then we would have under an easy to find title a description of clearing houses, their history and what they do. WikiDorset (talk) 17:38, 5 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article Bankers' clearing house had a redirect inserted at the top, but was it actually merged? Its content is not currently visible in either Clearing house (finance) or Clearing (finance). – Fayenatic London 10:34, 16 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Merge Bankers' clearing house with Cheque clearing. The two articles cover the same topic/material and contain some identical quotes and text. Whizz40 (talk) 13:02, 16 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Note: The merge with Cheque clearing might already have been done, hence the identical text. Per my notes at Talk:Cheque clearing#Edit history and Talk:Clearing house (finance)#Edit history the edit histories got mixed up due to copy-and-paste merge followed by a move. Switched the templates to reflect the revised proposal; added template to Cheque clearing. Klbrain (talk) 13:23, 14 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
