Untitled[edit]

This article is about a book. It is not a biographical article. The "statements" listed are claims made in the book. (The word "statements" should be changed to "claims.") Most are based on anonymous sources. For example, the "statement" that "Michelle Obama vetoed the notion of Hillary Clinton serving as Vice President of the United States." The only cited source for this statement cites the book's author himself. This is tautological. If we allow the other vaguely sourced claims, then Andersen's claim about Obama's authorship should be included too. The point is to inform people about the book's contents. WP:BLP still applies. Please read those guidelines for further explanation, particularly the fact that we must "avoid repeating gossip." It doesn't matter if you attribute an unreliable claim to the book, we can't say it here without reliable sources. Anyway, this article is about the book, not a summary of the book. I'm going to remove these claims for violating WP:BLP (and anyway, that bullet-pointed summary is incorrect style for an article such as this). --Loonymonkey (talk) 21:31, 30 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with this solution. It is a fairer approach than listing some weakly-sourced claims but not others. -- Catoii (talk) 21:56, 30 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The London Daily Mail and CBS News are reliable sources, and the material from those sources should not have been removed. Grundle2600 (talk) 23:02, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The article does mention this book reveals some things not known at the time but doesn't say what they are! Is it because Obama is a living person, we could use language showing it's a claim by the author not a fact, tho that should be obvious anyway, but it's just odd how this article is written, either don't mention the "previously unknown details" or say what they are.
