Karpov vs. Macieja

[edit]

The game is not notable enough among thousands of games played by Macieja. --84.162.212.225 (talk) 17:35, 10 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

whats this trouble maker seewolf talking about, what game, did i do a game?he is also killing other info, nothing to do with singular term assuming he knows what it means, he is only trying to cause problems, IP verification, comes from Germany.
No arguments? --84.162.212.225 (talk) 02:09, 11 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
again, dude makes no sense, dude is computer addict with no life, with low english skills!
OK, for you have any argument at all, the link will stay removed. --84.162.212.225 (talk) 02:49, 11 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Article protected

[edit]

The article is fully protected. Please thrash this dispute out on the talk page. (All sides should attempt to work out the dispute otherwise I'll just restore the other wrong version.)--RegentsPark (sticks and stones) 03:39, 11 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The mention of the Karpov game and the link to it is not useful for the article for it is only one out of thousands of games, and it is not described why this game should be notable for Macieja. It seems to have had no bigger affect on Macieja's career. --84.162.195.210 (talk) 11:46, 11 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
All these issues have been addressed many times, he was also asked not to revert anything until consensus, yet this individual will keep on repeating himself, talking about 100000s of other games, instead I pointed out to particularity of an event. User violated tons of wikipedia policies, from 3rr to other violations. —Preceding unsigned comment added by ChessMasta (talkcontribs) 23:10, 11 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Well, it seems to me that both sides are guilty of edit warring so let's not worry about that. Am I correct in thinking that the bone of contention is the inclusion of the sentence that he lost decisively to Karpov and the link to the score? Why don't the two of you briefly explain why the information should be included or should not be included. --RegentsPark (sticks and stones) 23:25, 11 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Chicago IP and user:ChessMasta is the banned user BoxingWear3 (and probably BoxingWear aswell). Since he has shown his inability for collaborative working before and given no reason for his disruptive edits again you shouldn't let fool yourself by him and ban him again. --84.162.249.221 (talk) 13:06, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

BoxingWear3 is blocked in 3 language editions, on de.wp his range is blocked for 3 months!! --84.162.249.221 (talk) 13:14, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Why only 3 months, why not make it indefinite?
also boxingwear3 & other names dont go hand in hand, names dont even sound remotely similar!

While we wait for explanations as to why the match is important (or not), I've tweaked the text a bit. Removed the lost convincingly (no source for the convincingly part) and replaced with the score. Also, moved the match details link into the references section.--RegentsPark (sticks and stones) 14:11, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds good regents, footnote hits the spot!
I have nothing to do with the above people seewolf mentioned; also when going over boxingwear3 contributions I noticed there are good edits in chemistry & physics!

The bottom line is Seewolf the real vandal here, he is afraid to use his real name, I could have easily chosen any IP and contributed that way, but Im not hiding, only explaining the the article to whom?! The bottome line is, Karpov was wold champion, HOW OFTEN DO YOU GET TO PLAY KARPOVS, TOP NAMES, Again, the real SUPER vandal is seewolf, he is the one who kept on insisting about some things that dont even exist, read start of this conversation & history of the article; THEREFORE THE SIMPLE FACT THIS WAS MATCH AGAINST HISTORICAL PLAYER TOTALLY DISAVOWS INSANE ABSURD STATEMENTS SEEWOLF DREAMED UP. —Preceding unsigned comment added by ChessMasta (talkcontribs) 19:29, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Huge event in Poland

[edit]

In seewolf's words: "The game is not notable enough among thousands of games played by Macieja. --84.162.212.225 (talk) 17:35, 10 January 2010 (UTC)"[reply]

Here's link on the event from important polish chess site

http://www.poloniachess.pl/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=155&Itemid=43

"Wiceprezydent Warszawy Andrzej Urbański w imieniu Prezydenta Warszawy podziękował zawodnikom i organizatorom za wspaniałe święto sportowe w stolicy."
the above says city politicians attended closing ceremony!
when match concluded 1000s of fans (from all over world) came to celebrate the event, so again, this undermines for good seewolf's insane statements that it was ONLY ONE GAME OUT OF 1000S, of course its only one game, even if it was against kasparov, its only one!
Notice, english genius seewolf mentiones time after time GAME word, to him that singular word means plural, clearly shows his english speakin/writing skills are pathetic, he should not be allowed on any english wiki, he made many similar mistakes in the past!
