Two different people[edit]

There should indeed. From my quick search, the mining pioneer was born around 1505 in Seville, while the theologian (according to the present article) was born in 1527 in Medina de Rioseco.--Anders Feder (talk) 22:50, 25 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
