Barton, Preston

[edit]

Given that Preston is in the west half of Lancashire, I'd suspect Barton, West Lancashire is Barton, Preston. Do any Bartonians here present have the facts on this? boffy_b 18:56, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

They are two different villages. West Lancashire is actually in the southwest of the county. As there is no page for Barton, West Lancashire I've taken the liberty of redirecting the link to Downholland, where Barton is mentioned.
I've also deleted Barton, Chugshire. As far as I know there's no such place in England, and certainly no such county.--Dr Greg 13:07, 15 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Edmund Barton

[edit]

I'm pretty sure that Edmund Barton is the first Australian Prime Minister and should recieve recognition here as such.
