Is this scheme wrong?

Hi, back when the OLPC-project was current there was talk about the choice of the Marvell "Libertas" for providing IEEE 802.11-support, as this chip contains a proprietary RTOS. Now this article claims, ANY baseband processor does so. How can this be?

I’ve read that Qualcomm has a near-monopoly on baseband processors. So I wanted to take look who else still manufacturers them. Can someone add a list? 2A02:3035:601:7C75:49EA:9598:3184:A5C1 (talk) 05:33, 10 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
