City of Basse-Terre or Basse-Terre Island?

[edit]

I've removed this bit from the article and put it here because I don't know if it is about the city of Basse-Terre or the island of Basse-Terre:

"Although it is difficult to measure rainfall in short periods of time, the Guinness World Records 2005 lists Basse-Terre as having the record for the most intense rainfall in a short period recorded by modern methods. On 26 November 1970, 38 mm (1.5 in) of rain fell in one minute at Basse-Terre." Godefroy (talk) 18:09, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Panoramic image is of the wrong Basse-Terre!

[edit]

This article is about Guadeloupe, but the large photo of the town depicts the Basse Terre in Saint Kitts and Nevis. 2601:18A:C77E:3200:748F:BDF2:78EA:4859 (talk) 16:29, 8 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
