What are you doing? Are you rewriting our history based on what you think should have happened? KileyMitchell79 (talk) 20:30, 2 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Lead image needs a caption[edit]

What the heck is going on? I think the reader should be given a caption explaining the image, not just alt-text. Mattximus (talk) 23:48, 13 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

History rewritten is FICTION not FACT[edit]

Just because you change it in writings doesn't mean that's how it was. History is there to learn from so we can do batter next time and learn from our mistakes. If you keep changing everything how are we suppose to show are children what works and what doesnt? We need all of our past to make a better future. How much wine?[edit]

The article contains the following, "Before the war commenced well over 1,000 ships a year departed Gascony. Among their cargoes were over 200,000,000 imperial pints (110,000,000 litres; 240,000,000 US pints) of wine. (refs: Rodger 2004 pp=xix–xx, 79; Curry 2002 p=40)", which has been copy/pasted into a number of articles. I have edited it because it is wrong in several ways; it is OR, relies on a synthesis of the sources, and gives the wrong amount anyway. This was discussed at length a couple of years ago, but the wrong information is still here, so I have fixed it, here and elsewhere. Moonraker12 (talk) 17:28, 3 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
