Interesting skirmish. I have a few comments:

  • Should this be titled "Skirmish at Blackburn's Ford" per NPS? Don't move it now, it'll stuff up the GAN.
    • Print sources usually refer to the fight as the "Battle of Blackburn's Ford", so I'll keep the title where it is per WP:COMMONNAME. I've added the other as an alternate name in the lead (cited to the NPS), and created a redirect for the other name.
  • Manassas Campaign→ Manassas campaign (this applies to the main template in the Background section also)
    • Fixed
  • suggest naming the Confederate army in the lead
    • Done
  • McDowell sent troops forfrom Daniel Tyler's division
    • Fixed
  • say what Bull Run is, ie "Bull Run, a tributary of the Occoquan River", or alternatively, "Bull Run Creek"
    • Used Bull Run Creek
  • locate the Confederate left flank
    • Added and wikilinked flank
  • link Army of Northeastern Virginia at first mention in the body
    • Done
  • introduce the abbreviation - ie Brigadier General (Brig. Gen.) same with Capt. and Col. (later you use Colonel in full)
    • Fixed
  • suggest being consistent with reference to Union troops to avoid confusion, ie Federals→Union troops
    • Done
  • link Joseph E. Johnston and Shenandoah Valley
    • Done
  • space in Tylerthen
    • Fixed
  • 1st Massachusetts or First Massachusetts? be consistent
    • Done
  • 1st Massachusetts what? Infantry Regiment?
    • Done
  • 12th New York Infantry Regiments
    • Reworded list
  • 17th Virginia Infantry Regiments
    • Done
  • 12th New York Infantry and 1st Massachusetts Infantry are duplinked
    • Removed second links
  • withdrawl→withdrawal
    • Fixed
  • athe second of Tyler's brigades
    • I'm a little hesitant to make this change. At least to me, it gives the implication that Tyler had two brigades in his division while he really had four - the other two were unengaged at Blackburn's Ford
  • there seems to be a bit of additional detail available at the NPS page which could be added
    • Added some detail to the battle section, as well as mentioning in the aftermath that two Union soldiers later received the Medal of Honor for Blackburn's Ford
  • given Brady died in 1896 but we have no publication details, File:Blackburn's Ford, Bull Run, Va - NARA - 529404.jpg should have a {{PD-old-70}} licence, not {{PD-US}}
    • Changed, but now Commons is telling me there should also be a US public-domain tag. Do I need to try to do some research on when exactly Brady published this after taking it?
      • That would enable the use of a better US PD tag, as most US PD tags require publication information. Given it is mutilated and unlikely to have been exhibited, you could use {{PD-US-unpublished}} in the interim. If you were planning to take this to Milhist A-Class review or FAC, I would suggest making some inquiries about possible publication, as it is possible that Brady's work has been exhibited since the war, although perhaps not this image, due to the mutilation. • Peacemaker67 - I found information for a very similar, but less damaged version, of this image on the National Archives Catalog website listed as "Use restrictions: Unrestricted" (see [1]. If desired, I can attempt to upload this image to Commons, but file tagging and copyright isn't my strong suit. Anything else for GA-purposes? Hog Farm (talk) 00:24, 31 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
          • That's is a lot better than the mutilated one. You could crop that to get rid of the muck around the edge and upload it to Commons with {{PD-old-70}} and {{PD-US-unpublished}}. That'll do for now. Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 01:00, 31 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • File:First Bull Run July18.png needs information about the source(s) that the map detail is drawn from (narratives, maps in books etc)
            • Peacemaker67 - Alternate image uploaded to Commons, tagged as suggested, and replaced mutilated image in article. Hog Farm (talk) 01:45, 31 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • I have absolutely no idea where this came from. It was present in the version of the article extant before I rewrote this, and I thought it looked helpful. Since I can't provide this information, I'll remove the image.

That's all I have, nice job. Placing on hold for the above to be addressed. Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 05:30, 30 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Peacemaker67: - I've responded to all your points above. Hog Farm (talk) 16:05, 30 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

OK, happy now. This article is well-written, verifiable using reliable sources, covers the subject well, is neutral and stable, contains no plagiarism, and is illustrated by acceptably licensed images with appropriate captions.
