  1. Is it reasonably well written?
    A. Prose quality:
    One awkward tag to resolve.
Engaged is the problem word here. During the battle or something similar would work far better, IMO.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 00:27, 28 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
    OK, how's it look now? Magic♪piano 01:55, 28 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'll review this tomorrow.

In re identifying troops with more specificity: it was the practice of the British army to brigade the light infantry companies from its regiments together, separate from their regiments; I believe they may also have done this with the grenadier companies. This explains a lack of regimental identification for those battalions (without a detailed recent organizational return, it would be hard to tell which regiments contributed to e.g. the 1st battalion light infantry; this sort of information is not usually presented in secondary sources). Sources do not say which of the two dragoon regiments (16th or 17th, I believe) in Howe's army were involved, otherwise I would have named them. I can add words explaining the brigading if necessary. I believe that you're correct about brigading the light and grenadier companies together. Don't put it in as main text, but please add an explanation as a note. But what about the Guards unit mentioned. Do you know which one that was?--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 20:33, 27 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That would be the Brigade of Guards; I will make that more explicit. Magic♪piano 20:40, 27 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The whole thing? Hmm, I didn't know that more than a battalion or two was sent to North America, not that I'm an expert on the British Army in the ARW or anything.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 20:48, 27 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know how much of the guards was sent over (or even how large the entire unit was at the time), but in this case it appears that only some of their grenadiers were involved... In any event, I have made edits; let me know if more is needed. Magic♪piano 21:39, 27 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
