Suggestions[edit]

I was looking at this as its on the Assessment Page; my approach is always to think about the user (you've put a lot of work in, so make sure people read it :)).

Main point - its a minor skirmish; nothing wrong with that - the value of an article is not the number of words used. There seems to be a lot of stuff in here that looks like padding; I don't get the point of the Aftermath section, which seems to be a discussion of the Commanding Officers careers.

- Another example; the 14th Missouri Volunteer Infantry Regiment, also known as Birge's Western Sharpshooters, and later re-designated as the 66th Illinois Infantry Regiment. Unless I'm a war gamer, it doesn't help me, so simplify or if you really think its needed, put it in a Footnote (I've done this as an example);

- I like Maps, so do Users (pictures would be nice too);

- In the (British) army, and at university, I was always taught to start with 'Why are we fighting here?' I'm assuming its rivers and railways - maybe expand that.

Covid isolation day 18, so feel free to ignore :)

About the coordinates[edit]

The camp is on private property so these coordinates aren't for the exact site. They're for the people who have to give permission to go wandering around over it. Oona Wikiwalker (talk) 10:06, 2 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
