A-class[edit]

I intend to nominate this article for A-class as soon as I can figure out Wikipedia's labyrinthine procedures for doing so. If someone beats me to it, I will be happy to second the nomination. PKKloeppel (talk) 14:08, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Who can clarify this sentence?[edit]

"He attempted to convince his own rival, Don Carlos Buell, to take charge of the campaign as a means of getting his additional forces engaged, but despite Johnston's high regard for Buell, he was as passive as Grant was aggressive." Does the first "he" refer to Halleck? Or to Grant? Johnston's sudden intrusion into the sentence muddies the waters, too. And the last "he" - who does that refer to? I can. See revision. Hal Jespersen (talk) 03:12, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! I'm a student at Colgate University and have been assigned to edit this page. I plan on initially focusing on the "Aftermath" section while making few and minor edits to other sections within the article. Feel free to leave comments/remarks in my sandbox.

Grants reply Text[edit]

Shouldn't the text in the article reflect that Grants writes "I am sir, very respectfully, your obedient servant" as seen in the Grants reply picture next to text instead of simply "very respectfully Yours" as it appears in the article currently? 2601:40:C601:4369:5A5C:672F:3242:C42B (talk) 15:30, 22 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
