Numbers of Soldiers

This article has had a few numerical inconsistencies. For instance, it says that there "578 Abenaki and Nipissing allies" and cites Anderson for this claim. However, the infobox says 598 of Abenaki alone. Steel says there were about 700 "Indians", which I think is a little vague. But it's still different.

Additionally, Steele seems to indicate there were about 1,500 militiamen with Johnson. This comes from two sources, but I only used one, which I thought was more reliable (and it's already cited in this article). ThoughtCo, which I wouldn't say is the most reliable source in the world, also says there were 1,500. I've searched around and a couple other websites also seem to say there were about 1,500 under Johnson's command. Does the "2,682" claim also come from Anderson? If so, that contradicts the claim that there were "Provincial (2,932 effective men as per the returns of August 17, 18 and 19)" per the previous Order of Battle section.

Army sizes tend to have shaky numbers, but it would be nice to have some consistent numbers. Unfortunately, I do not have access to Anderson. Maxx-♥ talk and coffee ☕ 17:12, 2 August 2023 (UTC)
