Four miles[edit]

Neutral?[edit]

It was Frederick the Great's greatest victory ever, - who said this? by which standard? Odds at the start of the battle? Maneuver during the battle? Numbers of casulaties inflicted?

Ok, let's cite Napoleon Bonaparte ("Description of the War's of Frederick II", dictated to General Montholon): "The Battle of Leuthen was a master piece. This Battle alone would be sufficient do make Frederick immortal among the greatest field commanders in history".

Bewegungskrieg?[edit]

I feel slightly uncomfortable with the incorporation of the concept of Bewegungskrieg being equated with Blitzkrieg which, as Citino would argue anyway, are quite distinct concepts. I personally think the section should be removed without appropriate citation of Citino. Citations & white space[edit]

In the 'Austrian collapse' section: 'The determined Prussians, in forty minutes of hell, took the village...' I'm not too sure of the 'forty minutes of hell' bit. Why were those forty minutes any more hellish than any other time in the battle? There is no explanation, so I've put a 'citation needed' tag there; perhaps it should really be an 'explanation needed' tag.

There is an enormous amount of white space, due to the diagrams, in this article. I would fix it if I knew how, but I don't. Could somebody do the honours?

Citation format[edit]

Numbers for the Battle of Rossbach[edit]
