MWAK, are these your efforts again? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Grebbegoos (talkcontribs) 16:37, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Grebbegoos (talk) 17:05, 5 March 2009 (UTC) This page requires extensive improvement. But let me start by stating that not 3,000 men but 6,800 defenders occupied the city. It were 80-90 men of two platoons 11./IR16 plus four pioneers and a three men company troop that landed at the bridges. They were soon reinforced by 36 men of III.Zug 11./Fjr-1 that had landed at the Feyenoord stadium parking. Much more to be corrected but I'd rather detect first who wrote this lemma ... Copyedit[edit]

This article is an absolute mess. I have been baffled by "water-planes", "3 man company troop" and "intendant company"; totally confused by "looked for a reroute", "16/IR" which became "III./16 IR (minus 10./). But my favourite has to be "they managed to find the wedge that the pioneers had created along the quays and off they went." When I came across this I realised that the Copyedit tag would have to stay, (its been there over a year), and that it (the article, that is), required the services of someone with a good grasp of WWII history and the English language. I got as far as "The Battle" section and then had to admit defeat. RASAM (talk) 13:36, 11 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
