Strategic Confederate Victory[edit]

Longstreet succeeded in his task of cover Johnston’s retreat to Richmond. While this may be a tactical victory on the Unions side they weren’t able to break through and disrupt the Department of Northern Virginia’s withdraws allowing Johnston’s entire force to pull back to Richmond, allowing for a overall strategic Confederate victory. 24.112.120.144 (talk) 05:23, 2 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Battle of Dam no.1[edit]

I can add info on this battle and pictures if wanted.The rifle pits from both sides is suppose to be the best untouched trenches of this war anywhere.Newport News park.Involved Vermont 3rd infantry where they were massacred almost in a retreat from confederate counter attack. 2600:8805:814:AD00:11C5:BE06:60A9:1ADE (talk) 23:10, 25 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
