Untitled[edit]

I wikified this page and tried to find as many relevant links as I could. Many of the links referring to peoples i.e. "Turks" are only approximates. The context of the battle is not very clear to the average reader (like me).

Also, the same battle seems to be listed on some pages under another name. I listed this battle on the Dardanelles page. There is a disambig page also. KarenAnn 15:33, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Differing Facts[edit]

in the link to VENIVA's history of the naval battle of the dardanelles, different numbers and types of ships are listed. someone from the WP military history project should look into these differences. there's no project for present-day-greek-locations military history, so perhaps this would fall under italian and ottoman military history. 4.230.174.215 18:56, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Name of the Ottoman Commander[edit]

The article stated that the Turkish naval commander was Chinam Pasha. This is obviously wrong since there is no Turkish name as Chinam. The commander of the Ottoman naval fleet was the Captain of the Seas (Kaptan-i Derya in Turkish) Kenan Pasha. 17:46, 3 January 2007 (noyder) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 88.106.181.2 (talk) 17:44, 3 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]
