Again an article based on secondary sources[edit]

There is the original source for this battle : General Makriyannis, Ἀπομνημονεύματα (Memoirs), Athens: 1907 (preface by Yannis Vlahogiannis; in Greek). I only hope there is an English translation. This is the story by General Makriyannis himself (and not "captain" Makriyannis - who knows him by this name!) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Beickus (talkcontribs) 00:41, 25 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

When we have an account for the battle by the person leading it, General Makriyannis, seems prudent to abide with his description. Thus we can put in brackets what other sources indicate. Spyridon Trikoupis was not an eyewitness.

Casualties[edit]

according to Makriyannis 500. So with both sources 50-500, please do not change it again. Nickolas VL (talk) 10:52, 5 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
