Regarding deletion proposal[edit]

Oppose. This article deals with a bus company that previously operated bus routes and now operates as a charter company. It contributes to the history of public transport in Sydney. I see no reason why it is not notable and it should not be deleted Quaidy 10:17, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Support. That it once existed as a public transport operator can be noted at Buses in Sydney and 800 series bus routes, Sydney. The remaining company does not, so far as I can see, satisfy generally-accepted criteria listed at Wikipedia:Notability (companies and corporations). Joestella 10:37, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia deals with the past as well as the present. The fact that something no longer exists or is no longer notable in its current form does not affect whether it gets an article. We have many articles about companies that simply no longer exist or are now entirely dormant, existing only because no one bothered to disincorporate them. --NE2 16:41, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree; I think any company that operated bus routes (assuming the buses were branded by them, and it wasn't simply a contract for the city or other government) is notable.
