title[edit]

Good Olfactory, you used a literal translation of a Croatian term for the title, but I'm thinking we should use a more English and a more geographic term - a channel usually connects two bodies of water, whereas there is no such thing here... --Joy [shallot] (talk) 18:34, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Upon closer inspection, I don't actually see widespread use of "kanal", rather "zaljev". See google hits, and also hr:Malostonski zaljev. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 18:37, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

US Google searches:

So I moved it. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 20:15, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Looks fine—no problem. I put the alternate names in a footnote. Good Ol’factory (talk) 21:00, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Turns out I was partly wrong: there is a concept of a channel, but only for the part of the bay that connects the inner bay with the outside sea. A map would go a long way in explaining this... --Joy [shallot] (talk) 01:29, 3 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Injured on Google maps[edit]

Do mention why this is the only place on earth that features mountains chopped in half by the sea.

Defense secrets? Jidanni (talk) 23:54, 25 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

More likely just Google Maps' generally lesser support for Bosnia and Herzegovina in the first place. Notice how the Croatian parts of the map are normal, only the Herzegovinian part is not rendered correctly. Likewise, the navigation doesn't work. Heh. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 09:22, 26 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
