Copy-paste page move

[edit]

@Noncommittalp: The reason I reverted your edit is because you completed a copy-paste page move from Draft:Beach volleyball at the 2016 Summer Olympics – Women's tournament. This is not how pages are moved, and it violates the licensing on Wikipedia. It fails to give credit to other contributors who worked on this article. Additionally, the article is clearly incomplete, and a bunch of blank tables shouldn't be in the mainspace until they're up to date (or commented out until the information becomes available). Could you complete the article at the draft and then move it properly (by clicking More --> Move in the top right corner) when it's completed? ~ RobTalk 16:46, 1 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@BU Rob13:So, the qualification had a reference. Why did you revert it? Noncommittalp (talk) 16:54, 1 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Noncommittalp: I've already explained this to you. See WP:Copy and paste move. Additionally, this article is incomplete. ~ RobTalk 16:56, 1 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@BU Rob13: I have questions. Did you see the official website which I add? Can I add the section qualification? The competition schedule also can find in the official website. Can I put revert back. Noncommittalp (talk) 17:08, 1 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Noncommittalp: You're welcome to add any reliably sourced information. I'm just opposed to the copy-paste move (which the history merge I requested will address) and the plethora of blank tables. Pages upon pages of blank tables don't belong in the mainspace. Those should be added back when we actually have some stuff to fill them with. ~ RobTalk 17:10, 1 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@BU Rob13: I still have questions. There are 24 spot for sure why the 21 blank table can't be here? There are round of 16, QF, SF, ... for sure the official website published it. Can the bracket display even it's blank?Noncommittalp (talk) 17:21, 1 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Noncommittalp: It would be perfectly fine to write about the tournament style in prose, but I don't think it's appropriate to have just blank tables fill up an entire article. ~ RobTalk 17:22, 1 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I suposse this is relevant but not sure how to add it to the article.--90.165.118.230 (talk) 16:12, 9 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Qualification

[edit]

I think qualification is a relevant section of this article. There are qualification sections in the articles for the other sports in the Olympics. Just because no one has written it for previous years' articles doesn't justify it to be removed from here. Boivie (talk) 06:43, 1 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
