Article[edit]

This is ridiculous - it's an ad/review of BeaverTails, inc. This company clearly does not merit their own page, let alone should they be allowed to co-opt a page on a pastry. Conwict (talk) 17:13, 27 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well since Obama's visit it has become a worldwide sensation and now has tons of third party sources to establish notability. Please discuss the article merger over at Talk:BeaverTails Canada Inc. - Ahunt (talk) 20:45, 24 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There is no such thing as an Obama Tail....maybe for a week. Obama cookies are across the street. I removed that sentence due to hes not the prime minister and its not true! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.50.126.8 (talk) 18:34, 8 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

While the company website does not current list it, this obviously existed at one point in time as we have a reliable ref that says so, so I have reinstated the sentence and ref, but altered the wording to indicate past tense. - Ahunt (talk) 23:00, 8 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Replaced image[edit]

I replaced File:Beavertails.JPG with File:Beaver Tails Byward Market Ottawa Canada.jpg that is a much better image - by way of angle - no people - better angle with no light poll mail box or news paper stand in the way - better lighting - can see the flags and both logos ...just a better all around image. I can buy that, the original switch just included no reasoning for the change in the edit summary. - Ahunt (talk) 11:24, 23 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Product and store listing changes[edit]

Some proposed changes[edit]

Add “Manitoba” to the list of Canadian provinces in the first paragraph. Add “United Arab Emirates” to the list of international locations.

“Products The BeaverTails pastry is a whole wheat pastry hand-stretched to resemble a beaver's tail, fried, and topped with a choice of sweet condiments and confections, such as cinnamon sugar, maple, banana slices, crumbled oreos, and chocolate hazelnut. BeaverTails also serves poutine, hotdogs, frozen treats, and a selection of signature hot and cold beverages. BeaverTails Canada Inc. through franchising currently operates 119 BeaverTails and Queues de Castor locations worldwide.”

All of this information can be found on www.beavertails.com (under store listings and product listings)

I had made a change to the product photo to better showcase the variety of toppings that are offered.

COI disclosure: I am employed with the BeaverTails Canada Inc head office.

Thanks for posting here as per the WP:COI rules. I have added Manitoba and Dubai to the list of locations as per http://beavertails.com/en/find-a-beavertail/ and http://beavertails.com/en/international-locations/ adding those as refs. The rest of the changes you are asking for are far too promotional in nature and doesn't belong in an encyclopedia. They really belong on your company website instead. - Ahunt (talk) 17:02, 9 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
