First Joint India-Bangladesh Production Claim is Erroneous

[edit]

1972's [A River Named Titas] is credited by the World Cinema Foundation as a joint India-Bangladesh production.[1] Its director was Indian, though its producer credit belongs to a man whose nationality is ambiguous. I feel it may be unwise to describe Beder Meye Josna as the 'first' joint production for it undermines the cinematic cooperation between the two countries that stretches back to the very early days of Bangladeshi independence. aswar314 (talk) 17:37, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
