Bedford Handbook
[edit](Redacted) I'm adding this so people could see what the school has written, and so people don't copy it one for one. You can also find more info on at https://www.spsd.sk.ca/school/bedfordroad/About/handbook/Documents/2022%20-%202023%20HANDBOOK%20BRC%20te.pdf
This is the only source with decent info about the BRIT and its history Dfsjlk1 (talk) 00:54, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
- So, to prevent people from verbatim copying from the document you made a verbatim copy? We have to assume that that document is copyrighted, so it is a copyright violation for you to copy it here. You have linked the document, so other editors can read it if they wish, but the WP:POV pose written by the school about their own tournament is not something we can use as a source.Meters (talk) 04:22, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
- I didn't know that the writings in the talk pages are under 'Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License 4.0' Dfsjlk1 (talk) 04:38, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
- Talk:Bedford Road Collegiate I also posted the same here and can't delete it. Dfsjlk1 (talk) 04:40, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
- What are you talking about? It is a copyright violation, period. The fact that Wikipedia postings are under CC BY SA 4.0 is irrelevant. You don't have the right to post the material, and you don't have the right to give other people the right to reuse it. Meters (talk) 04:53, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, I understand that. What I was saying is that I posted it elsewhere which you didn't correct, and I didn't know that I could edit a talk page. And yes, again I understand that I am wrong in this case. Dfsjlk1 (talk) 05:25, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
- Once again, you are not making any sense. You said nothing at all about the post on another talk page (which I also removed, as soon as I noticed it). And how can you not know you can edit a talk page when you were doing so? And none of this has anything to do with talk page posts being under CC BY SA 4.0. WP:CIR is a thing, and I'm getting to the point where I am going to suggest that you be blocked for it. Meters (talk) 05:43, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
- I was just replying and adding topic, I figured out after that I could edit. I wasn't aware of it and I'm new to Wikipedia. Dfsjlk1 (talk) 05:51, 23 August 2024 (UTC)

List of teams by year
[edit]Does it make any sense to list all the teams that play each year? The tournament has been on for almost 60 years... that's hundreds of teams. I suggest that we remove the year by year lists (incomplete as yet). We already list the winners, and notable participation such as the occasional international teams (albeit unsourced as yet).
It's certainly not appropriate to list the annual team without sources, as was done for 2012 [1], or to give each team its own subheading each year, as was originally done [2]. And if we do keep this we need to list the schools in such a manner that readers can tell which schools are actually meant. Unlinked listings with no cities such as "Sacre Heart", "Centennial", or "Notre Dame" are useless. Meters (talk) 04:46, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
