  • You might have meant "bendahari" instead. __earth (Talk) 09:34, 20 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Bendahara lineages[edit]

Bendahara was NEVER a commoner. Refer "Sejarah Melayu" for details. He is the direct descndent of Demang Lebar Daun, the legendary King of the Malays. Demang Lebar Daun adopted the sons of Iskandar from Makadunia (Alexander of the Macedonia) and bestowed them kingship of various parts of his kingdom. Out of respect the sons of Iskandar, he stepped aside (gave up his kingship) and took the title "Bendahara"

Ambiguous[edit]

"Bendahara is an ancient Malay position within a government", Bendahara is exclusively for the gov of ancient malacca innit? What does ethnicity have to do with it. Plus there is an ongoing academic debate that Hang Tuah may not be a malay after all. 124.82.2.133 08:26, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There is no academic debate on Hang Tuah being a Chinese. The only place you could find that allegation is in chain mail or some forum or somewhere where conspiracy theories are abundant. Besides, Hang Tuah was never a Bendahara. He was a Laksamana. __earth (Talk) 13:14, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Brunei Bendaharas[edit]

Okay, some dude just removed Brunei bendaharas. The reason was pretty much dumb: "Unsourced". Like Bro, Either check for their war that they were involved wtih OR their article. Don't blindlessly just remove it without checking. Syazwi Irfan (talk) 16:00, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
