Name

[edit]

Why is this under "Berhampur"? It should be moved to the official name, Brahmapur, under which people are going to look for it. Languagehat (talk) 17:29, 29 April 2009 (UTC) we need to write everywhere BRAHMAPUR INSTEAD OF BERHAMPUR —Preceding unsigned comment added by 113.19.177.136 (talk) 13:49, 16 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Source? While the name of the city is written as "Brahmapur" in Odia and Hindi records, the English spelling is still "Berhampur" (see Berhampur Municipal Corporation and Ganjam district official websites). The Indian Railways have officially named the railway station "Brahmapur", but that change doesn't apply to the city. utcursch | talk 15:31, 24 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Melmann 21:31, 13 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
You need to cite a reliable source that says "Silk City" is the nickname of Berhampur. – wbm1058 (talk) 13:32, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
And I see that this has been done in the infobox! wbm1058 (talk) 13:34, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
