Seven or Nine?[edit]
The narrative says that Betty was mother to nine children. But the subsequent paragraphs only name seven, and only seven are listed in the sidebar. 192.245.44.10 (talk) 15:58, 17 April 2023 (UTC)
- The missing two seem to be Horatio Gates Clark (ca, 1801-1873) son of Jacob Clark. And Miriam McLaughlin (b 1793, no date of death I can find), who was a daughter of Ephraim McLaughlin. That's based on the children listed for her on Family Search and work done by other genealogists. I've done a lot of genealogical research on the Zane family as I am a descendant of Betty's brother Jonathan.

Birth year[edit]
Sources disagree on the birth year of Betty Zane. Family Search and Find a Grave use 1759 as the year. This makes sense given her mother's death being ca. 1761 along with the years of her brother's births. Other sources do use the 1765 date used here. Which is actually correct? I have no clue. The discrepancy should be noted though. WayneyP (talk) 02:42, 25 April 2023 (UTC)
