I proposed this merge as I think this would add to the quality of both articles. Does Biddestone also have a cricket club?

If you agree, and there is silence or consensus here, then go ahead and merge the articles. --Hroðulf (or Hrothulf) (Talk) 20:29, 10 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose - Biddestone F.C. plays at a level considered notable and as such deserves its own article. The football club could be mentioned & linked in one sentence in the Biddestone, town article, but there's no reason to merge. --Balerion 22:50, 10 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose - It may lead to the article on Biddestone being dominated by information regarding the football club, rather than the village. Most other towns with significant football/sports clubs seem to have a separate article, this allows for a level of detail for the sports club which you probably wouldn't want in the town's article. --User:Fatherivy 12:36, 24 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose - It may be better for the football club to build up its own entry. --User:Keithpound 19:18:36, 29 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Where's the History?[edit]

There is only a sentence regarding the history of Biddestone; the village had was once comprised of two parishes, with two churches and two manors. There is a lot of information missing. Aubrey mentions Biddestone in A Natural History of Wiltshire. Come on, people! Wiltshire Council Community History Tj1916 (talk) 19:47, 27 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
