Hi, User:Smokey1855. I guess I don't understand your removals in [1]. The sentence in the first paragraph about this store being the best-preserved representative helped establish its significance, which a lead paragraph is supposed to do. The account of the old-timer from the Cap Times gives context that isn't available elsewhere, and gives it from a fresh viewpoint.
