Why not approved in USA?

As you can see in Wikipedia, it may have less side-effects than any antihistamines that are currently sold in USA?

Intelligibility

The introduction should be understandable by educated people without having to follow links. That seems a tall order but I have re-written the first paragraph so that the first sentence meets this style recommendation.
