Proposed merge of Bilkis Dadi into Bilkis[edit]

Name as per sources. Dadi or grandmother postfix not needed; nor is it an honourary addition. DTM (talk) 10:57, 28 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No objections to a page move of this disambiguation page to Bilkis (disambiguation), and a move of Bilkis Dadi to this title. But a page move is the right way to do this, not a merge. Captain Calm (talk) 11:08, 28 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Captain Calm, should we wait for a few days for others to comment on this move or can we go ahead with it? I think this is an uncontroversial move. Please could you go ahead and do the move if you think it is an okay move, using correct procedure of course. (I usually don't mess up my moves and merges this badly now; oh well, its learning) Thanks DTM (talk) 13:27, 28 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure if she's a WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Might be better to move Bilkis Dadi to something like Bilkis (activist), and keep this page as the disambiguation. There's no hurry with this, so let's give it another few days for wider comment. Captain Calm (talk) 13:31, 28 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with Captain Calm, let the disambiguation page be there and make a move to Bilkis (activist) and leave the Bilkis Dadi as redirect. ─ The Aafī (talk) 17:01, 28 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
While I agree with DiplomatTesterMan that "Dadi" is NOT A MUST and the article can be renamed without it such as Bilkis (activist), I request my friends to also look into that the fact that she's famous as Bilkis Dadi only. Some sources such as this one mention her full name as Bilkis Bano, so this option can also be a possibility. In any case, there is no need to merge the independent article on her with this disambiguation page. --Hindustanilanguage (talk) 14:48, 29 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I totally agree with Hindustanilanguage's logic here that she's and also initially became famous as 'Bilkis Dadi' which most people know her by that name. So let's not cause confusion among people by mixing up many names going back in history. Let's leave her under the title that stuck with the people...Bilkis Dadi. Closed, given the consensus not to merge. Klbrain (talk) 15:21, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
