Cray T3D and T3E

[edit]

"During his MIT times he claims to have collaborated on developing design of Cray T3D and Cray T3E supercomputers," seems mildly accusatory, as if he might not have actually done so. In https://citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/document?repid=rep1&type=pdf&doi=b8346632ab47f434993a07cb097b5a572c39f9db, written by Steve Scott of Cray Research, it says, "Thanks to Bill Dally for his consultation on this project." This confirms that Bill Dally contributed to the Cray T3E effort. Furthermore, in https://www.hpcwire.com/people-to-watch-2019/5/, Steve Oberlin, who worked for Cray on these systems, is quoted as saying, "Bill Dally ... helped us with the interconnect network architecture for Cray Research’s first MPPs, the T3D and T3E."
