A New England single missing[edit]

I just went through a serious cognitive dissonance because I've been trying to remember that nice little song from the 70s (it turned out it was the 80s). Then I saw Billy Bragg's name somewhere and knew that it was his song. But when I came here I found no singles that could be the one I was trying to remember. Was I wrong after all?
