Why are there 2 links to facts about Tardigrades on a biostasis page? Shouldn't they be on the Tardigrade page? I doubt the information is just about biostasis and it's inner workings. And in fact, Tardigrades aren't even mentioned in the text. It would probably be better to add a "See also" section and point to Tardigrades or similar. - DukeTwicep (talk) 16:51, 3 July 2011 (UTC) Where are examples of biostasis in nature? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Emil3168 (talkcontribs) 18:54, 21 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is all about cryptobiosis and animal dormancy. The term biostasis as it is generally used and in the literature is synonymous with 'suspended animation' and not specifically to do with natural dormant states in the natural world. If no one objects we should think about changing title or merging etc. Currently this will just create confusion :-/ - Theodorus75 (talk) 00:40, 4 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Current Research Section?

Very interesting :) but probably not relevant for this article. I think the article title is causing confusion. The subject matter is cryptobiosis not general biostasis / suspended animation in the medical setting etc. I guess we could either expand it to be more general, or, merge it with cryptobiosis - Theodorus75 (talk) 12:00, 5 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
