Vendetta article or mis-titled[edit]

This feels like it has been written to destroy the reputation of Birmingham, Kentucky, or it should be a separate article on racism in Birmingham, Kentucky. The racism mentioned is obviously disgusting and should not be denied, but how many general articles about the 1000s of towns in America where this sort of thing happened concentrate mainly on that aspect, when they are not a specific racism article?

Edit: I just checked the article history, all the racism content has been added to this well established article recently, taken from a book Racial Violence In Kentucky, which proves my point, the title of this article where we are now is that of a general article, not a racism article. Pictures[edit]

It would be nice if there were some pictures to this article. Clicking on reference 1 goes to a site where there is a great picture of a Birmingaham street at the start of it. I know TVA own the picture and TVA do allow free use of some historical pictures, although I don't know if they do for this specific one? Status definition?[edit]

The first sentance of the article is:

Birmingham was a town in Kentucky that was destroyed by the creation of Kentucky Lake.

What do people think of an alternative?:

Birmingham is a town in Kentucky that was submerged by the creation of Kentucky Lake.

Or:

Birmingham is a town in Kentucky that was submerged and mostly destroyed by the creation of Kentucky Lake, but the layout and partial structures stil exist.
