Birtley Clown Brigade

[edit]

Since the late 90's Birtley has been plagued by a rodent He started off his life as a hacky little scruff in a filthy rotten house in the Bronx. The rodent was later shot by the Jones Ranger, AKA "Sirus the Virus". The rodent of course informed the police (not for the first time) and the Jones Ranger was to the people of Birtleys dismay carted off to serve a trully undeserved 6 year jail sentance. As the Jones Ranger was no longer there to protect the people of Birtley the rodent was free to spread evil and sell his terrible substances to women (Mary Malloy) and children (Fatty Dredger). What all of the little plastic gangstes did not know was this... All of the time they had praised the Rodent and believed he was their hero. What he was actually doing was to gather evidence for the police who were paying him to put all of his so called friends in jail. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.38.100.250 (talk) 10:58, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

'the true religion'

[edit]

"There are altogether three mainstream churches in Birtley, which also has a large cemetery with a chapel and crematorium: Birtley is also home to three congregations of the true religion." (Emphasis mine.)

The last sentence, which sounds POV (don't many serious religions make that claim of themselves?) as well as being vague as to the religion's identity, makes no sense when the paragraph precedes a list of churches of four denominations. I propose to delete it, having copied the sentence onto this page in case someone wants to replace with more encyclopaedic information.Cloptonson (talk) 09:47, 17 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
