J:son[edit]

What is the second letter of his middle name? Zoe 23:11, August 26, 2005 (UTC)

Björn J:son Lindh's name is just that - see Google search for confirmation. CLW 23:16, 26 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not convinced. Googling "Björn Jason Lindh" turns up a lot more hits and "Björn Jåson Lindh" turns up a few. --Angr/tɔk mi 17:31, 3 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

But the "Björn Jason Lindh" hits aren't in Swedish. Go to "Advanced search" on Google and select Swedish as the language. "Björn J:son Lindh" gives over 1,000 hits, while "Björn Jason Lindh" gives just one, which is actually from a Norwegian doman. The IMBd and Swedish Wikipedia articles are both linked from the article page - check those. CLW 08:09, 4 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
It just occurred to me to add an album cover image. Hopefully that's convincing enough! CLW 08:23, 4 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
It could be a common Swedish way to abbreviate Johansson, or a self-styled thing. Either way, does it violate our MOS by either abbreviating the title or using non-standard characters, a la Deadmau5, etc. (discussed in the archives of WT:MOS)? —[AlanM1(talk)]— 20:24, 22 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

In the beginning J:son was a middle name and comes from the family name Janson. Björns`s grandfather was called Karl August Janson. The family name Lindh comes from some distant relative of Björn`s grandfather. Björn`s father was born as Robert Lindh and at birth Björn was registered as Björn Lindh with the family name Lindh. Some members of the Lindh family started to call themselves J:son Lindh. After a while they applied to have the family name J:son Lindh registered. So J:son was in the beginning a middle name, but is now a part of the family name J:son Lindh. But some members of the Lindh family still uses the family name Lindh, not the family name J:son Lindh. In the USA Björn called himself Jayson Lindh.Tapperheten (talk) 19:55, 22 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:BJLindh.jpg[edit]

Image:BJLindh.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
