Structural change proposal

[edit]

This page would be involved in a structural change related to the black (color) page. See this discussion. CoyneT 03:15, 16 Feb 2005 (UTC)

2nd entry

[edit]

Aren't aborigines (or whatever their name is; native Australians) dark-skinned too? They may be a minority, but shouldn't they be mentioned?

Spelling

[edit]

Per both the original spelling and established spelling sections of WP:ENGVAR, the spelling of 'color' in this article is 'color'. Please stop changing it. To do so is vandalism.

Colorist

[edit]

I fail to see why this paragraph is included in the article:

Black may be also used as a colorist term to describe someone who is African American, or has a darker skin tone. Though a ethnic slur, it is widely accepted by the general community as an acceptable term, when compared to other terms for African Americans, such as Negro. In example one could say, "Martin Luther King Jr. is a famous black activist."

When there is not a similar one for the White article. Or am I being ignorant? - sorfane 16:40, 1 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Move discussion in progress

[edit]

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:The Black (American band) which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 17:08, 19 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
