Good Article nomination has failed
[edit]The Good article nomination for Black Isle's Torn has failed, for the following reason:
- Longer than the subject warranted

Citations
[edit]As citing every source separately would be pure madness (since most of the article is taken from only a handful of sources), I have placed a single citation at the bottom of each section and subsection (aside from Development history), which act as a citations for their entire respective sections. This is to address possible future citation concerns. So please do not pepper the article with {{fact}} templates and the like. JimmyBlackwing 19:45, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
Good Article nomination on hold
[edit]I am placing this nomination on hold for the following reasons.
- I would like to see the redlinks eliminated especially for Mr. Maldonado, understand if the games section redlinks are next projects, however maybe they should be left off until those articles are completed?
- Possibly explain the citing rationale listed above (and I do understand working from limited resources) in a sentence within the lead or a tag at top, something along the lines of "Due to the limited nature of source materials, citations will appear at the end of sections", this will reduce the attempts by other editors to request citation, without checking the existing ones.
- In all, for a cancelled game, I think this is well done, though I do not forsee WP:FA in it's future. I also think the length is appropriate. What would be inappropriate would be fifteen or twenty paragraphs of "It would have been cool if..."UnseemlyWeasel 02:05, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you for the response. I have taken care of the issues you mentioned. JimmyBlackwing 05:26, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
Player Races
[edit]I don't see any info on the player races or the world itself, there was a ton of stuff in one of the old articles published at the time, including a map with place names. --68.81.70.65 (talk) 01:21, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
Why mention D&D
[edit]In the first section it is mentioned that Torn was to take place in it's own world, "instead of a traditional Dungeons & Dragons location". Is there any reason for mentioning D&D at all at this point? After all, the game system has been cited as being SPECIAL, which so far, has only been used in games which work in alternative realities based on our own history. —Preceding unsigned comment added by FrederikHertzum (talk • contribs) 08:26, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
