Ok I have been looking every where for blackwater and all I have found is a coal mining company and a warning to look out for coal mixing with water and how much it damages the enviroment so I'm just going to add stuff about coal pollution. If somone can find out exacally what this blackwater is it would be highly appreciated. Ryoneill (talk) 13:32, 23 April 2012

Hi I found two references from scholar articles that defines blackwater as waste (or effluent regected from coal preparation). Bsea (talk) 21:52, 5 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have beeen looking everywhere for information on this stuff, and the ony blackwater I have found relates to human and animal waste/sewage, not coal mining. I think that this page is supposed to be about coal slurry, and will be updating it as such. Am I on the right track? If not, please give me some pointers....anyone. Yeah screw it I'm doing this for a grade at school and I wont geet a very good grade talking about somthing that dosn't exist so I'm just going to put down facts about coal pollution. (Ryoneill (talk) 13:25, 26 April 2012 (UTC))[reply]

The above comments should be sufficient I would think to justify the removal of the pollution section regarding the burning of coal. In addition to the editor's motive, the point of view is not neutral, and has been tagged as such. Furthermore, burning of coal is different than the effects of blackwater on the environment. If there are no objections, I suggest the section be deleted. Pjslauta (talk) 05:46, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Pjslauta, you are correct on each point of argument. The section should be removed. Thpn (talk) 19:56, 26 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The entire article reads as if written by an environazi. "Lethal coal slurry"? give me a break. It's likely not the most pleasant of materials, but it will harly kill you even if you touch it with bare hands. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.132.186.34 (talk) 10:46, 8 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Editors Summary[edit]

When I was editing this page, I chose to cover the Kinston Fossil Plant due to its more recent dates to give the readers an idea that this issue is still happening. This disaster also has many long term, and even harmful effects to the people living around the effected areas. As for the future technologies I wanted to put multiple approaches to alternative ways of storing waste products in coal factories. Romeefarber (talk) 04:58, 1 May 2019 (UTC)Romee[reply]
