Popular?

[edit]

I removed the section on the party being a popular protest vote. With less than 1% of the vote it can hardly be considered popular. Ifnord 14:55, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Bloc Pot leader Pierre Audette got 5.18 percent of the vote in a by-election in the Mercier riding on April 9, 2001. Candidate Guillaume Blouin-Beaudoin got 6.23 percent on November 30, 1998 (in the absence of a Parti québécois contender). These are the highest scores attained by the party, which demonstrates that it is sometimes a popular protest option. User:Paradis_pe 19 september 2006.

Official vs. usual spelling

[edit]

Although the party is officially registered as Bloc pot (see Provincial authorized political parties @ http://dgeq.qc.ca/en/registre_pp_prov.asp) to conform with the tight French language spelling rules, it uses two capital letters (Bloc Pot) in its logo and all written communications.
