Freddy or Jack?[edit]

The article mentions that the song could be refrancing Freddy Kruger in the general song, but the lyrics: The called me the leather apron, the callled me smiling Jack, are more akin to jack the ripper, as the leather apron was another of jack the ripper's nicknames. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cranium metallus (talkcontribs) 22:08, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Evil Dead Similarity[edit]

I've noticed a lot of similarities between the video for "Blood Red Sandman" and the second Evil Dead film. Is this worth mention on the page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.33.211.29 (talk) 05:29, 12 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It will be worth a mention if we can get a source to back it up (rather than just using the video and film in question as sources - that's not allowed. By the way, nice one for spotting the similarity - Mr. Lordi did that as a tribute to the film, so it's aimed at the few people who notice it, knowing most people won't. Hehe, check the user id of who's replying to you, too... Blood Red Sandman (Talk) (Contribs) 11:25, 12 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I pretty much figured that linking to the video wouldn't be a good solution. Not a frequent contributor here, so I thought I'd put something in the discussion page before smearing YouTube links all over the place. I'll see if I can't find an intervew with Mr. Lordi that mentions this later on. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.33.211.29 (talk) 11:06, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It would appear that someone along the way decided to put those mentions in without any sourcing. I'll remove the references out until such time as it can be sourced. Nashville strigoi 14:49, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:BRS cover 2.jpg[edit]

Image:BRS cover 2.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
